Dwarven Battle Pasta

Working and residing deep within the caverns Riddling ancient mountains means constant threats from tunneling whores and fear some goblins. It also means powerful hunger at the end of the day. Dwarven battle pasta is ravioli, carefully toasted to a crispiness that will allow it, in a pinch, to be hurled at your monstrous deep hill neighbors; it also tastes great with marinara dipping sauce. For an extra cheesy delight, sprinkle the sauce with Parmesan.
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Vegetable Oil
- 3 Tablespoons Whole Milk
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 Cup Italian-style Breadcrumbs
- 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/3 Cup Plus 2 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese-Divided
- 1 - 20 Ounce Package Frozen Ravioli
- 1 Cup Warmed Marinara Sauce
Instructions
- 1. Heat oil in deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F
- 2. In a small, wide rimmed bowl, whisk together milk and eggs until smooth. Set aside. Add crumbs, salt, and 1/3 cup Parmesan to a large, sealed bag and shake to combine.
- 3. Did frozen ravioli into egg mixture, then add to bag with breadcrumbs and shake to coat.
- 4. Place a few ravioli at a time and a half foil, cooking about one minute on each side until golden brown. Remove from oil to a large paper towel wind plate. Sprinkle with two remaining tablespoons Parmesan before serving alongside warm marinara for dipping.
- EXTRA NOTE: just a note of warning: frying ravioli can result in splatters of oil that can burn you, so work slowly and carefully. Remember to dip the pieces into the oil away from you, and fry in small batches so as not to crowd the pan. Dwarves don’t fear working right alongside forges, but they also set their beards on fire for dramatic affect, so don’t emulate them too closely.
